REGULAR SPREADER MINIMUM: 

 In order to get the best motion from your decoys the minimum water depth should be 11 inches. The decoys keep the system afloat and the spreader sinks about 10 inches underneath the decoys. 11 inches of water gives you the clearance for the system to work correctly. 

You can modify the system in order for it to work in just 5 inches of water. See the video.

 MAXIMUM: 

 There is no maximum depth. You can add line to your anchor first and then attach the bungee cord to the line, then the bungee cord attaches to your spreader.

See below for written instructions:

1. Connect 4 decoys to one spreader and 3 decoys to the other spreader. 
2. The arm with no decoy needs to be connected to a decoy on the other spreader. [A] 
3. Use the connection bar and connect 2 decoys, one from each spreader.[B] 
4. Set up jerk rig. Start by connecting the bungee line to an anchor, and clip the other end to one of the spreaders. Set the anchor and spreader in the water.[C] At this point you can leave the system floating and set up the rest of your decoys. Once everything else is set up move to 5. 
5. Connect your pull line to the spreader and bring that back to your blind to pull.[D] 
6. There are a few different ways you can set up the Ultimate Spreader System. (Option 1) Puts the second system off to the side. These side decoys will move much less than the main system you are pulling. It gives the most random decoy movement. (Option 2) Will create less random decoy motion but allows you to spread out 2 sets of 4 spreaders. In this set up [B] would be some sort of line to connect the 2 spreaders. You would not use the connection bar in this setup. (Option 3) Uses the connection bar but hooks up the anchor and pull line from different systems.

1. Connect the bungee to an anchor.
2. Connect the other side of the bungee cord to the center hub of the spreader.
3. At this point you can set the spreader and anchor in the water. After you have set up the rest of your decoys continue to step 4.
4. Connect the clip on the line from the handle to the center hub of the spreader and bring the handle back to your hunting blind. 

1. It is important that you run the pull line through something smooth. We've included a carabiner for you to use. Clip the carabiner into the eye bolt of the anchor. If you run the line through a rusty eyebolt of the anchor your line will fray and break. If the metal is smooth and in good condition the line will not break. 
2. Connect the clip on the pull line (from the handle) to the feeder system.
3. Clip the line into the carabiner that is connected to the anchor. 
4. Set the anchor in the water. 
5. Bring the handle back to your blind and pull. 

TIP: When connecting the decoys to the feeder system connect the clips into an eye bolt that you screw into the decoy. See the graphic below. 

The feeder system works best in 2-5 feet of water. We include 5 feet of reinforced line that is strong enough to be run through the smooth carabiner and not break. If you want to run the feeder system in deeper water you should use a longer piece of kevlar line. Long enough that it matches the depth of water you are in.
