Most importantly our spreader creates a flock of ducks or geese swimming in all directions. The decoy motion is random and much more natural compared to a single file line of decoys. This flock motion will bring even the most educated ducks and geese right into your decoy spread like nothing out there on the market.
Set Up and Break Down!
There is also another huge benefit to using our spreader. That is the set up process and the break down process.
When you set up a typical jerk line you have to set your anchor, then unwind your line and hook up each decoy individually. Once you have hooked up all your decoys you must bring the handle back to your blind and keep some amount of tension on the line. If the handle gets loose and the jerk line drifts and floats around you could end up with a huge tangled mess on your hands. This also means that if you set up your jerk line first you will have to constantly be looking out for your line as you set up the rest of your decoy spread.
In contrast our system can be set up anytime in seconds and will never tangle.
Start by connecting your decoys the night before the hunt (we actually connect our decoys to the spreader for the whole year).
Now all you have to do is grab the spreader system, click the 4 arms into the center hub, hook up your anchor and toss the whole thing in the water.
The system can float around just like it is another decoy and will not tangle.
Once you are done setting up the rest of your decoys spread then grab your handle, hook it up to your spreader and walk it back to your blind.
If while you are hunting the wind kicks up and mother nature is moving your decoys for you, you can simply unhook your pull line from the spreader, leave it out there and hunt without the lines.
We actually have many people that have purchased 10+ spreaders and use them to set up all their decoys.
